What is low level laser therapy for hair restoration?

Every hair usually grows for several years and then falls out. The root rests for some weeks before starting to re-grow a new hair. This cycle continues throughout our lives.

Unfortunately, as we age, some people replace fewer hairs than are shed (and/or thinner, lighter hair) resulting in thinner hair and gradually baldness occurs.

The cause of male or female pattern baldness is a build up of DHT at the hair follicle site. This build up inhibits the transfer of oxygen and nutrients from the enriched blood supply to the hair follicle. The DHT is a metabolite of the male hormone testosterone. Metabolites are products of metabolism. So in this case, DHT is a product of the metabolism of the testosterone hormone.
